Principal Connections - executive search invites applications for the significant role of General Manager on behalf of our client, a Voluntary Association with a large national membership demographic headquartered in the Midlands.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the National Chairman and the voluntary National Executive Committee directly, the General Manager will have hands on responsibility for the effective day to day running of the Association. The role involves supporting the voluntary National Executive Committee on governance and the delivery of strategic objectives for the organisation. The General Manager will be responsible for the management and administration of the Compensation Fund together with engaging membership and coordinating member-related activities. It will be important that the General Manager works within the values and ethos of the organisation.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will be a "hands-on" and self-motivated individual operating at management level or above with the capacity to deliver on the day-to-day management and administration of a membership body. An understanding of insurance claims would be advantageous. In addition, a willingness to travel occasionally together with a commitment to the mission, vision and values of the Association will be essential.
